Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts which is based on the scientific principle that our nervous system controls or influences the function of all 11 trillion interconnected cells in our body. It is based on the philosophy that the human body will heal itself given the right opportunity. In other words, the body heals from the inside out.
The practice of Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health. Stress on your body including physical traumas, emotional thoughts and chemical toxins cause interference to the nervous system, called a vertebral subluxation. These subluxations (misalignments) can interfere with the flow of information and energy along your nerves affecting function and general health.
How does Chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works by restoring normal joint function through soft tissue and joint manipulation. Restoration of normal biomechanical function affects other systems of the body as well thus improving your state of health in many ways.
